The NYCLC, in partnership with World Vision, seeks to increase awareness of Global Poverty and the devastation of HIV & AIDS in the developing world.
GLOBAL COMPASSION INITIATIVE
A partnership between churches throughout Greater New York, The NYCLC, and World Vision NY to change the destiny of communities that are now living in despair due to the ravages of HIV & AIDS. The vision is to create an "epidemic of compassion" by linking churches to work together in the same countries through World Vision.

Since 2002, we have taken more than 100 leaders on Pastors' Vision Trips to East Africa and the Caribbean to see the need firsthand and to see how World Vision is addressing these issues.
Starting in 2007, we began to conduct training sessions with pastors in the communities we visited on these trips. Our strategy is to mobilize training sessions with indigenous leaders who impact hundreds of congregations in their country and who are serving the poorest of the poor. Sessions are held on church planting, leadership developement and other topics.
This year we have trips planned to the Dominican Republic in October and to Rwanda in November.
